Utilizing a 6-axis Mazak Space Gear Mark II laser machine, Harvan performs 2-D/3-D cutting, engraving, marking, and fabricating operations on metal sheets as well as tubular structures. The CO2 laser cutting machine enables us to cut holes, slots, and special features on mild steel materials up to 0.8” thick and stainless steel materials up to 0.375” thick. Our laser cutting machine can process metal sheets up to 60” in width and 120” in length.
The laser cutter can be fitted with a tube chuck for handling pipes, tubes, and structural shapes. In addition, the 6-axis capability of our laser cutting machines allows us to cut multiple features on sheets and machined components in a single setup. The Mazak Space Gear Mark II laser’s non-contact profiler enables us to fabricate parts without any burr or contamination.
Through laser cutting, we can cut intricate features on stainless steel and mild steel materials with fine kerf widths of up to 0.012”, while maintaining an accuracy of 0.005”. Harvan fabricates a range of laser cut parts, including architectural ornaments, valves, control arms, and components with complex geometries. We can also support you in designing custom parts.
Harvan Engineering Ltd. is proud to announce the addition of a Flow Mach 4 Dynamic WaterJet Cutting System, model 4020b. This new addition expands the plate cutting capabilities of our Mazak Space Gear 510 MKII 4000W Laser Cutter (5’ x 10’ Table, 6 axis, Up to 1” Steel or 3/8” Aluminum) so that we can now cut thicknesses up to 24” regardless of the material type. The table is 13’ by 6.5’ giving us more elbow room as well. The WaterJet can cut wood, marble, glass, aluminum, steel, paper, textiles, you name it, without getting the product wet! The waterjet expands CNC turning, milling and gear cutting capabilities and will support our fabrication and welding operations. We would be happy to talk to you about your project; whether it be mechanical, industrial, architectural, or artistic, give us a call.
